Is this a fork in the road?

It happens to many of us - we wake up one day and are old and not in the same shape as we use to be. Form me that happened at the end of 2021.
We spend Christmas in Adelaide with Martys family and I saw some photos that were taken of me and they were horrible - actually the photos were good (Marty is a great photographer) but I looked terrible! When we got home I decided it was time to do something. I decided that I wanted to be in the same shape I was when I was 30 by the time I turn 50. That gave me 2 years.
I decided that I would go hard and decided to start using The Man Shake to help stick to diet. I'd never done protein (or meal replacement) shakes before so wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I like them. They're a great way to easily ensure you are in calorie deficit and can lose weight.
Now it's no miracle weight loss program - it's still hard work, but here we are in August and I have stuck to it and watched what I eat in general and have seen the results. To date I have lost 45kg - that's MASSIVE!
I still have a way to go, and it's still sometimes hard to stick to the plan, but seeing the results, and to see other people see the results it great motivation.
For exercise I've kept it simple. I started walking - about 20 minutes as day to start, and now I'm up to 7km every morning. I get up at 6am and am out the door. I love being out so early, it's a great way to start the day. Some days I'll even go for a 3km walk in the afternoon - just to wind down.
On the weekends I sometimes go for a bike ride, but am starting to consider more resistance training to firm things up.
